Mobile Imaging FAQ
Who is DMS Health Technologies?
DMS Health Technologies is a leading provider of mobile diagnostic imaging services. DMS has a rich and diversified history which started in 1972 as Dakota Medical Systems. Today, DMS not only provides mobile imaging solutions, but also imaging equipment service and sells a wide range of healthcare products, including diagnostic imaging equipment, patient monitoring systems, supplies and accessories, and refurbished monitoring equipment, ultrasound and parts.
Where in the area do you have a mobile route?
As one of the largest national providers of mobile diagnostic imaging services, DMS has routes across the United States. While we continue to grow our routes throughout the country, we pride ourselves in working closely with facilities on a local and regional level to help ensure access to the highest quality of care for your patients and communities.
What is your pricing structure?
DMS offers a flexible pricing structure customized to fit your needs and the requirements of your site – including days of use, anticipated volumes, specific information flow and the length of the agreement term.
How does your pricing compare to other providers in this market?
In order to make sure we are providing our customers with competitive pricing, DMS takes a proactive approach by regularly benchmarking against other service providers. When comparing price amongst several service providers, we will work to provide you with an apples-to-apples comparison so you are able to make an educated decision. You will find that DMS is not the highest, nor lowest, priced mobile imaging service provider. But the quality and service you receive from DMS and our team is nothing but the best.
What contract length do you require?
Our contract terms are set up to meet the specific requirements of each facility we serve. On average, our mobile service contracts run 36 months.
What type of equipment do you have and from what manufacturers?
Because every facility’s needs and preference are different, DMS maintains vendor neutrality. We offer systems across modalities and from all of the major original equipment manufacturers; and continue to look at emerging technologies in order to provide our customers with the latest product offerings.
Who services your equipment?
DMS is one of the only national mobile service providers who has its own staff of field service engineers. Our service engineers are trained by the original equipment manufacturer and maintain our mobile fleet with preventative and on-site maintenance. In our efforts to maintain system uptime and when proximity allows us to provide better service, DMS will utilize OEM service engineers when needed.
What days can we have the system?
The frequency and specifics of when the system will arrive at your facility is dependent on your needs. Our team will work with you to develop a schedule that best meets those needs.
What if our needs change? What if we need to switch days, add or reduce days on our route? How is this handled?
When a facility and DMS enter into a mobile service agreement, we both have agreed on the time, terms and requirements that will best serve you. If during this agreement your needs change, we will need to work together to address the situation. If it is a simple change in the day of the week you are being served, we will need to work side-by-side with our Director of Operations to determine how we can best adjust your schedule while meeting the requirements of the other facilities on the route. When there is a need to make a change such as a reduction in the amount of service you receive from DMS, we would need to address the situation individually to develop a solution that meets the needs of both parties.
Do you provide staffing? What are your credentials?
As part of the complete package of services DMS offers, DMS will provide staffing on the mobile system at your request. You can feel confident in knowing that our staff takes great pride in delivering the same level of care you would expect from your own team. DMS’ registered and certified technologists receive ongoing training and development, with a high percentage maintaining registries in their chosen modality. Our team members are not only experienced in the industry, but also in the modality.
Will you help promote my new mobile service offering? How will you help me not only maintain, but increase my scan volumes?
DMS has a team of Business Development Specialists in place who have received modality-specific training and are experienced in establishing and growing imaging services for facilities across the country. They will work closely with you to develop a customized plan to successfully launch and sustain your new mobile imaging service through awareness, education and building relationships. Your account executive can provide you with more specifics about our Business Development programs.
